Here is a picture of an inspection I completed recently.  The insulation in the crawl was installed backwards.  The vapor barrier is intended to be installed toward the floor decking, not the crawl space side.  For example, if the insulation was installed per manufactures instructions, I would not be able to read the instructions on the vapor barrier.  The instructions printed as follows:  "Important:  Apply this vapor barrier side toward living side heated in winter."  This is one reason you want a home inspected by In Depth Home Inspection LLC
